EU importers and distributors of disposable nicotine e-cigarettes, EU online marketplaces and retailers listing Elfbar, Vozol, RENdM TORNADO, AiRMEZ or VapSolo, Chinese manufacturers exporting disposable e-cigarettes into the EU, and EU vape shops and distance sellers must immediately check stock and listings against the 18 alerted products, verify nicotine volume and concentration against Tobacco Products Directive Article 20 (2 ml single-use, 20 mg/ml), and complete technical, conformity and EU-CEG files, or face withdrawal, recall from end users, import rejection and corrective measures, with national penalties under the Tobacco Products Directive.

The pattern

Nicotine is named in 14 of the 18 danger texts: liquid of 12 ml, 20 ml, 30 ml, 36 ml, 38 ml or 60 ml, and in several alerts 50 mg/ml. Directive 2014/40/EU is cited in those 14 alerts. Article 20 caps a single-use e-cigarette at 2 ml and the liquid at 20 mg/ml. Fourteen products originate in the People's Republic of China. Czechia filed 10 alerts, Malta 4, France 2 and Latvia 2. Measures: withdrawal from the market (10), corrective measures ordered (5), import rejection (2), recall from end users with withdrawal (1). The four other alerts cite CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The LOOLIFL glue also names dichloromethane at 15.1% by weight, cyanoacrylates, missing warnings and no child-resistant fastening. The vape root cause is disposable e-cigarettes, mostly made in China, placed on the EU market above the Article 20 caps.
